Decide which player goes first. The player spins the spinner. The player then goes forward that number of squares. If the player lands on a square with an animal picture, the player collects a card for the picture on that square. It is now another player's turn.

The winner of the game is the player that has collected the most animal cards.

To spice up the game, you can add some hazards (overturned canoes) to the gameboard. If a player lands on a hazard, the player must forfeit an animal card.
